Information systems and algorithms are now shaping the human experience more than ever before – from the birth of a child to the most pivotal moments in society. The course will introduce students to the computational methods and tools needed in order to draw meaningful insights from “Big Data” and present a critical – yet constructive – perspective about the gravity of algorithms and information systems in online social settings.
